School Research Report (Scientific Paper) Presents a research question, a hypothesis, the research process, the results, and a conclusion. This format is used when conducting an investigation based on the scientific method. Example: A group of students measures the water quality of a stream near their school and analyzes the results by comparing them with environmental standards. |
School Review Article Summarizes and organizes what you have learned while researching a specific topic (for example, clean energy, wetlands, or climate change). Its purpose is to show what is already known about the topic and what remains to be explored. Example: A student reviews existing knowledge about the impact of wetlands in their region using news articles, books, interviews, and accessible scientific publications. |

School Essay A written piece in which you present a personal opinion or reflection based on information and evidence. It may combine perspectives from science, art, history, or citizenship studies. This format is recommended for secondary school students. Example: A student reflects on the risks of artificial intelligence in education, combining personal views, news reports, and school experiences. |
School Review A recommendation or critical analysis of a book, film, lecture, exhibition, or learning experience that inspired you to learn something new. It should include your own ideas and explain why the work or experience may be relevant to others. Example: A team reviews a visit to a science museum, explaining what they learned and how it connects to a topic they are investigating in class. |
If your school needs support in developing these forms of academic writing, we offer in-person and virtual workshops for students and teachers. Contact us and we will be happy to arrange a visit.
