Abstract
Considering the existence and characteristics of figures of constant width, the objective of this research, quantitative type, is related to the creation of new figures and bibliographic research that allows to nurture knowledge about this type of figures. For this reason, the research question was to identify if there are more figures of constant width, not described. For this, the experimentation process was carried out by using materials such as a conveyor, pencil, among others, obtaining first positive and negative results; by means of a method of own construction, using both regular and irregular triangles and pentagons, where the experimentation method was based on the same principle of creating the figure, and then drawing lines that extend from each side of the figure, to later form the circumference curves, taking the vertex opposite the side. Once the figures were created, they proceeded to check by calculating area and perimeter, to corroborate whether they belonged to the family of figures of constant width. In the same way, a bibliographic review was carried out that allowed to deepen the uses of the figures, within them the Reuleaux polygons and especially the Reuleaux triangle.
